Tarmac Drive & Gravel Area – Before and After

This job evolved by firstly excavating the existing worn driveway, Hardcore was then laid and compacted to the correct levels, A block paved edge was then installed to the perimeter of the driveway, Binder Course and Surface Course was then laid to form the new driveway.

The remaining area was infilled with new gravel.

Full Construction Tarmacadam – Before and After

This job was a complete resurface, with the tarmac going right up to the garage and house with a new edging inlay.

Firstly we excavated the existing driveway, hardstanding and grass area. Hardcore was then laid and compacted to the correct levels. A pre-cast concrete edging was then installed to the perimeter of the driveway. Binder Course and Surface Course was then laid to form the new driveway with white spar chippings added.

This added extra parking for our client as well as a vastly improved appearance to the property as a whole.

Vehicle Crossover – Before and After

This project involved the construction of a new driveway and vehicle crossover

Raybell and Sons Surfacing Ltd are an Approved Council Contractor for the construction of Vehicle Crossovers

The construction of vehicle crossovers has now become a specialised project.

To have one constructed at your property ‘YOU’ will have to firstly gain permission through your local council who will then confirm all their approved council contractors.

Before new Vehicle Access
After new Vehicle Crossover and drive constructed
New Vehicle Crossover - Access

We then gather all the necessary back up of drawings from the utility companies, these must be obtained and sent to the council before a licence to dig will be granted. Once the licence has been obtained (this is not planning permission) the works can begin.

The excavations are inspected by the council and then again on completion of the works to ensure all is correct. Whilst this process may sound a little daunting, have no fear because we can carry out the procedures for you. All ‘YOU’ need to do is contact your local council to make sure you can have a vehicle crossover installed and they will write to you with confirmation.

Block Paving In Cogenhoe – Before and After

This was an out of the way Driveway in Cogenhoe. This job had to have a Road Closure for the duration of the works which me managed to obtain. With a very tight access the works needed to be completed as quickly as possible allowing pedestrian access at all times.

Mission accomplished and the client remarked “what a great job and understanding of the situation”. Marshalls Tegulas were used with Aco drainage channels to handle the surface water.

Access is difficult but it's the only way in
The end of the Driveway would be just as tricky
Access needed to be maintained for a thoroughfare
Despite the access difficulties the works were completed beautifully
The new surfacing provided a wider looking driveway
Aco drainage channels provided the surface water solution
